Education & Experience

Ms. Clearman is licensed to practice in both Texas and California. After earning dual Bachelor degrees in Psychology and English Literature from Tulane University in 1986, Jennifer received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Texas at Austin School of Law in 1989. Jennifer began her career in Los Angeles with a litigation boutique firm, representing foreign and domestic corporations in employment, complex tort and commercial litigation. Upon moving to Houston, she expanded her litigation practice, representing both plaintiffs and defendants in employment, insurance, commercial and business litigation matters in both state and federal courts. Jennifer brings to the firm over two decades of litigation experience.

About Jennifer

Jennifer lives in Houston with her two children and two adopted terriers. She is a member of the Church of St. John the Divine, and is active in the Houston community, including having served on the Board of Directors of The Junior League of Houston and overseeing numerous volunteer projects for local non-profit organizations. She has actively worked on boards of other organizations supporting education and the arts, including the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, First Steps Montessori School and Xavier Educational Academy. Jennifer enjoys being involved as a volunteer in her children’s schools. Her hobbies include travel, gardening, reading, and attending swim meets and water polo matches.
